I’m originally from Santiago de Cuba and have been teaching English and Spanish over 35 years to students of different levels and nationalities, both online and in a classroom setting in Cuba, Finland and Spain.
I obtained my Licentiate Degree in Education from the Instituto Superior Pedagógico "Enrique J. Varona at Havana city. I also attended the 60 ects-credit Teacher Education Program for University Teachers held at the Haaga -Helia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki city, Finland.
My personal experience of learning languages has influenced my teaching methodology, and helped me to develop effective learning strategies.
Using authentic Spanish material such as magazines, newspapers or TV, I create my own teaching materials to help you to build skills to communicate better. You can learn at your own level and pace, with a course of lessons designed especially for your particular needs and interests.
I develop for each of my students an individual learning plan that is tailored to their needs. I am available for lessons ranging from 1 hour up to 2 hours per session and can provide feedback, correction and homework as it implicates the student and motivate them.
Lessons with me are relaxed and fun - I can teach students who are beginners, intermediate and advanced level.
